"LEAP YEAR OF FAITH"
As some of you might know, RED TAPE PARADE were working on their third full length album when their singer Wauz got diagnosed with cancer in December 2012. After he passed away on April 15th 2013, they decided to publish one of the few complete demo songs they have made, which is also the last song RED TAPE PARADE played live last saturday, May 11, during their 'To Wauz! To Life!' farewell show.

This album literally teems with pure energy and vitality! It's anthemic, fast pitched, ultra heavy and saccharine melodic at the same time. Aljoscha Sieg (Pitchback Studios) endowed "Hopesick" with a massive sound, shaping this aspiring new hardcore band's unique vision of tough yet tuneful music.

Wauz, singer of Red Tape Parade, lost his fight against the cancer that was diagnosed in December 2012. He was a truly inspring musician and one of the nicest persons I've ever met. My thoughts and deepest condolence are with his family, bandmates and friends. R.I.P., Wauz.

Our beloved IFPI just informed the world in their latest report, that for the first time in 12 years the global music revenue rose. It’s only a fragile 0.3% and compared to its peak of $38 Billion the $16.5 Billion of 2013 doesn’t seem to be too impressive. However this is a strong signal that digital music is more and more taking its place. Digital sales are rising, streaming / subscription services are constantly growing and also revenue from licensing has grown a lot. So overall very good news or as the folks at Acuity.Music would put it: Embrace Digital! (...)
